Brief presentation

The Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble “The Passaron” is an officially recognised non - profit association that consists of local guitar students and friends of the classical guitar, but also other musicians and friends of music and culture. The aim of the association is both to provide an opportunity for participants to play music together, and to contribute to the development of music education.

Τhe Association, having as a principle that music is a global language that can contribute to peaceful coexistence and understanding of problems among people, expects through music to support and develop actions for respect of cultural diversity, environmental protection, assistance to sensitive social groups, recognition and respect of social and individual differences, etc.

Activities

During its ten years of operation, the Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble “The Passaron” has taken part in more than 60 concerts and cultural events in several Greek cities (e.g. Ioannina, Preveza, Veria, Larissa, Kozani, Agrinio, Paramithia, Kastoria, Sifnos, Lefkada, Parga, Corfu, Amfilochia, Thessaloniki, Volos) and Bulgaria. The above events have taken place in different venues (e.g. cultural centers, squares, universities, concert halls) and include music and songs from various countries of the world (with different backgrounds), traditional Greek music, film music, compositions of famous composers, etc.
At the same time,  the Association has taken part in seminars throughout Greece and has organized music seminars in its own event hall in order to give the participants a chance to improve themselves.
Also, the Association participated in Erasmus “Musiversity” project in Poland (April 2019).
